29/05/2014
Rolawn’s renowned Medallion turf, Blended Loam topsoil and Landscaping Bark were incorporated into a number of medal winning gardens and stands at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014, by both Chelsea regulars and up and coming young designers and landscapers.
This year the President’s Award went to The Royal British Legion and Birmingham City Council’s WW1 themed garden, which also featured Medallion turf as well as Rolawn’s Landscaping Bark.
Cleve West used Rolawn’s Medallion turf to frame his gold award-winning garden, built in conjunction with Swatton Landscapes and sponsored by M&G Investments. The garden was based on a Persian paradise garden, and designed to provide a relaxing space for sanctuary and contemplation. In the Fresh Area, Rolawn Blended Loam topsoil was used for the opulent planting on The Gucci Garden.
Jonathan Hill, Rolawn’s Sales & Marketing Director, commented, “Chelsea 2014 has been very interesting as a lot of new, young designers have been involved and many of them have chosen Rolawn products for their gardens, which is testimony to Rolawn’s reputation for product quality. We’re very proud to have been involved in Chelsea Flower Show again, and we’d like to congratulate all of the award winners – both Chelsea regulars and newcomers – and thank them for their ongoing support.”
Overall, Rolawn products were featured on 17 award winning gardens, including 7 gold award winners, as follows:
